How to reach Genova

Page history last edited by keoma 11 years, 12 months ago

By plane

Genoa Airport is the Aeroporto Cristoforo Colombo (code:GOA).

It is directly connected with London (Stansted and Gatwick airports), Munich, Paris and Madrid. To reach Genoa from the other destinations, usually connections go through Milan Malpensa Airport or Rome.

From Milan Airport there’s a bus (Volpi bus line) twice a day directly to Genoa center. In alternative you can take a shuttle bus to Milan Central train station (45’) and there take a train to Genoa (around 1h 50’). The train Malpensa Express also connects the Airport Milano Malpensa to Milano Cadorna station (about 40'). Then you can reach Milano Centrale station by underground.

From Rome you can take a connecting flight to Genoa Airport or a train. In this case, you can reach Rome Termini train station with a connecting train (30’) then a train to Genoa (approx. 6h).

When you arrive in Genoa Airport, you can reach the town center with the city bus Volabus. This will take you to central Piazza Principe train station. Not being very far from the town center, as an alternative you can also rent a taxi (10’’, about 15euros).
